Privacy notice

How we handle your data when you use the Terravis lot check and when you contact us.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Spanish version (Aviso de privacidad) is the legally binding one.

1. Who is responsible for your data

H. Daniel Perez Morales, operating under the trade name Terravis, with an address at Barranca del Muerto 100, Col. Florida, Ciudad de México, is responsible for processing your personal data under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares). For any matter about your data, write to us at [email protected].

2. What data we process

It depends on what you do on the site. We do not ask for an account or password, and we do not process sensitive data.

  • If you only browse the map: the location or lot you mark, and the technical data of the visit (IP address, browser, date). The location is used to calculate the check in your browser.
  • If you use the search box: the text you type (address, link or coordinates) is sent to the search service to find the place. We do not keep it; we only keep the final point you choose.
  • If you use "Use my location": your browser asks for permission and shares your approximate location only to center the map.
  • If you request the report by email: your email address, the point or lot checked, the result of the check (traffic light and alerts), the language, the date and whether you want an advisor to follow up.
  • If you report an error: your comment, the point or lot, the result you saw and, if you choose to give it, your email.
  • If you write to us on WhatsApp or by email: your name, number or email, and what you tell us about your lot or project.

3. What we use it for

Necessary purposes to provide the service you request:

  • Calculate and show you the preliminary check of your lot.
  • Email you the report you requested.
  • Answer your messages and, if you ask, quote or provide services such as a title review, an environmental impact statement (MIA) or other permits.
  • Review and fix the errors you report. The point and your comment may become a test case, without your email.

Additional purpose, not necessary to receive the check or the report:

  • Having an advisor follow up commercially on your inquiry. The box to accept it comes unchecked. If you do not check it, we will not contact you for that purpose. If you already checked it, you can withdraw your acceptance at any time by writing to [email protected] or with the unsubscribe link in each email.

4. Who it is shared with

We do not sell your data. For the site to work, some technology providers receive data only to provide their service, as data processors:

ProviderWhat it receivesWhat for
CloudflareTechnical data of the visit (IP, browser) and form content in transitHosting and delivering the site, and processing form submissions. We do not store forms in a database.
Mapbox, or Esri if Mapbox is not availableThe map area shownDrawing the base map and the lot image in the report
Mapbox, or OpenStreetMap's Nominatim if Mapbox is not availableThe text you type in the search boxFinding the address or place
ResendYour email and the content of the report or messageDelivering the email with your check and getting your request to us
WhatsApp (Meta)What you write to us thereAnswering your message, if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp

Some of these providers process data outside Mexico. We make no other transfers of your data that require your consent. If a service you hire requires sharing information with third parties (for example, a notary or an authority for a permit), we will tell you and ask for your acceptance first.

5. Cookies and storage in your browser

The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking tools. The check is calculated in your own browser. If we add analytics in the future to measure site use, we will say so here before turning it on.

6. Your ARCO rights and how to withdraw consent

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, cancel it or object to its use (ARCO rights), and to withdraw your consent. To do so, write to us at [email protected] with:

  • Your name and a way to reply to you.
  • A document proving your identity or, where applicable, that of your representative.
  • Which right you want to exercise and over which data.

We will reply within the time limits set by law. If you consider your rights were not respected, you can go to the personal data protection authority.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes described and for the periods required by applicable laws. After that we delete or anonymize it.

To prevent the form from being used to send mass email, we keep for a few hours a counter with an encrypted, irreversible version (hash) of your IP address and your email. It does not reveal who you are and is deleted automatically within 24 hours at most.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice because of changes in the law or in how the site works. The version in force will always be on this page, with its update date.

The Terravis check is a preliminary guidance review based on public sources: it is not a legal opinion. See also the terms of use.
